Why you cant loose that last few pounds

You’re eating right and exercising regularly, but the scale wont budge for the remaining few pounds. And now you are wondering what you are doing wrong?

A few simple steps to reach your weight loss goal.

The more weight you loose the harder it is to loose that last few pounds. This is because for every pound you have lost your metabolism slows by about 20 calories a day.

And without adjusting your eating, or exercise plan you will just keep spinning your wheels. It’s all about calories consumed, and burned.

Calories Burned:

Most people include cardio in their weight loss program, walking, jogging, or some type of machine. But in order to keep getting results you need to change up your routine every few weeks or your body will adapt, and progress will stop.

I see way to many people doing the same cardio routine day in and day out. Change exercises, or level of intensity frequently.

If you want to see fast results try interval training, Interval training is simply cycling between a burst of intense exercise followed by a moderate pace then repeating this over and over.

If you were into walking to loose weight, you would simply speed up your tempo for 30 seconds (power walk) then return to a normal pace for 30 seconds. Simply repeat the process to you feel you cant do it any more.

You can change the time lapse between fast and slow to fit your own fitness level, but please be advised that when you first try this you will probably become exhausted quickly.

The great thing about interval training is that you can apply this to any exercise you choose. In a 30-minute interval workout you will burn 30 % more calories than if you maintained a steady pace.

Performing some type of weight bearing exercise is necessary to build lean muscle. Lean muscle speeds up your metabolism and lifting weights is the norm for doing this.

But most people follow the old tradition of resting between sets, but you can do both cardio and weights at the same time and burn a third more calories along the way.

Next time you lift weights cut your rest periods down to 30 seconds between sets, about the time it takes you to change your weight for the next set.

Continue this pace throughout your whole workout, every exercise. You wont be able to lift as much weight, due to the pace you will be on. But you will burn a third more calories and get a hell of a workout.

Calories Consumed:

Eating less meat is a simple way to loose weight due to its fat content, but you need to remember to replace that protein with another source.

Plant based foods are low in calories and high in nutrients. Peas, beans, soybeans, lentils are a great source of protein substitutes.

You don’t have to become a vegetarian, just replace a few meals a week until you reach your goal weight.

Eat a low calorie food 15 minutes before you eat your dinner like a tossed salad, or veggie platter. If you start a meal with a lower calorie food you leave less room for the higher calorie food. You end up eating fewer calories!

Last trick to lower your calories is to use smaller plates to lower your portion size. This is an easy tactic to fool your mind into consuming less.
