Soda And Your Health

Most people drink it every single day, it taste great any gives you instant energy. Oh and its highly toxic and can cause metabolic syndrome and destroy your future health.

How much soda do you drink?

Do you know how much damage drinking soda, or sugared, or artificially sweetened beverages harms your body?

Metabolic syndrome is a group of symptoms that includes high levels of belly fat, blood sugar, and cholesterol.

Giving up soft drinks can be one of the best things you can do to improve your health.

Drinking a single can a day of a sugary drink translates into more than 1lb of weight gain every month.

Soda is also loaded with caffeine. High doses of caffeine can cause irritability, insomnia, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, restlessness, tension, and other side effects.

Most people wonder why they run out of energy during the day, well if you drink soda this is one reason. Most regular sodas have around 41 grams of sugar, that’s about 18 packs of sugar that you would find in a restaurant.

Would you even consider pouring 18 packs of sugar in your mouth at once?

If that didn't get your attention the activity level of many carbonated drinks is astounding. The PH scale measures the activity of a liquid, the lower the number the higher the activity.

Water has a PH level of 7 and is considered neutral; the PH level of most sodas range between 3.4 and 2.5, battery acid has a Ph level of 1!

Your teeth can handle a PH of about 5.5 before they start to decay, the phosphoric acid in sodas causes tooth enamel erosion with minimal exposure.

I know people who have lost most of their teeth just from drinking soda ever day, and it is very costly to get them replaced. Not to mention rotting teeth wont do much for your personnel life.

Most diet sodas contain aspartame; it’s an artificial sweetener. Take a look at the nutritional information on the side of a can of soda. Notice how much sugar is in a regular soda, and then look at the diet soda can.

Aspartame is 200 times sweeter than an equal amount of sugar; there have been many studies done that people who drink diet sodas usually gain more weight over time than people who drink regular soda.

The reason for this is aspartame is what’s called an empty calorie, and when you drink empty calories your brain is tricked into thinking some food is coming to your stomach.

When those empty calories arrive your brain tells you to go get some food, this is why people who drink diet drinks usually end up overweight.

But if that isn't good enough reason to stop drinking diet soda, how about that when you consume aspartame your body will convert it to formaldehyde and formic acid.

Aspartame accounts for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Some of the symptoms include:

Headaches
Dizziness
Nausea
Weight gain
Depression
Fatigue
Insomnia
Memory loss
Joint pain

Aspartame can also act as a trigger for people at risk of some serious diseases, you really have to ask yourself is the risk worth the reward?

Now I have seen some people saying well I know someone who has never had a problem drinking sodas, and this is true. The same can be said on the number one killer cigarettes.

Your diet, lifestyle, DNA all has a major role in your future health. But when you see a majority of people with problems when consuming a product shouldn't you be thinking twice?

What is your future health worth?
